Nicola's Notes
True Colours is my first
book and as such holds a very special place in my heart.
I wrote it over a period of twelve years, off and on,
starting when I was at college. Once I started working
full-time, my writing had to fit into the evenings and
weekends and I wrote three versions of the book before it
was accepted for publication. Like many of my books, it
is set in Somerset, a beautiful county that I love dearly.
I love old flame stories
and always wanted to write one. I was always obsessed with this story
and the feeling of destiny that was behind it.
This story is the first of two
linked books of which the second is The Larkswood Legacy and
features many of the same characters.
